Two years after their debut record, Brian Fallon's Gaslight Anthem side project the Horrible Crowes deliver their first concert album, Live at the Troubadour. This intimate set at West Hollywood's legendary venue was recorded shortly after the release of their first LP, Elsie, and features all 12 of that album's songs played in order. Breaking up the sequence are a mid-set cover of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and a rousing rendition of INXS' classic ballad "Never Tear Us Apart" to close out the show. Formed in 2011 by Fallon and his longtime guitar tech Ian Perkins, the Horrible Crowes present a more subdued platform for Fallon's gritty Americana tales, but this live album proves that they are no less virile than his anthem-pumping main act.
