The Thrill Of It All is de langverwachte opvolger van zijn succesvolle debuutalbum ‘In The Lonely Hour’ (2014), waarvan er wereldwijd ruim 12 miljoen exemplaren zijn verkocht en dat in Nederland werd bekroond met triple platina. 

De eerste single van het nieuwe album, Too Good At Goodbyes, kwam onlangs binnen op de nummer 1 positie in de officiële hitlijst in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en werd zo Smith’s zesde nummer 1 hit.
