The Final Master is a 2015 Chinese martial arts action film, following the last Wing Chun master’s quest to pass down his art in pre-WWII China. The film was directed and written by Xu Haofeng, and stars Liao Fan, Jiang Wenli, Chin Shi-Chieh, Song Jia and Song Yang.  The film was nominated for Best Screenplay, Best Choreography and Best Supporting Actress at the 33rd Golden Horse Awards. It won Best Choreography.
The film follows a Wing Chun practitioner's ambitious journey to fulfill his master's dying wish of opening a martial arts school in Tianjin, the center of focus for Chinese martial arts at that time. In order to achieve this, he has to send an apprentice to challenge and defeat eight other martial arts schools. Yet, he becomes a pawn to the local power figures, placing his wife and apprentice in danger. In the end, he must choose between what is right and fulfilling his master's wish.
