Voodoo Highway is made up of life long musicians who have deep roots in rock, blues, country and more. Combining all those influences with solid songwriting, strong musicianship and a loose but solid ability for open jams Voodoo Highway appeal to music lovers, dancing fools and those looking to get their blues on. From rock to acoustic to great versions of favorite songs from other artists like ZZ Top, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Who and Tom Petty Voodoo Highway are quite simply a great American rock & roll band!
BIO:
Voodoo Highway developed very organically out of a love of jamming and quality song writing. David Miller and Sean Leary came together as part of a back-up band that formed to help out songwriters with live shows. The venture was short lived but Sean and David formed a bond and continued. After several versions of the band played around Oregon under names including Bad Influence and DSP the band came to full view once Patrick Smith joined the fold. Finally landing on the name Voodoo Highway 2012 and adding Stacie Johnson on Vocals and Guitar will see much growth and live shows. Voodoo Highway plan to begin recording soon.
If you took Fleetwood Mac & The Eqagles added a touch of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, blended some 70s guitar rock, a touch of the blues and a dash of acoustics when the mood strikes you would have Voodoo Highway. Big Vocals, great harmonies, musicianship and solid songwriting make Voodoo Highway a "Super Group" minus the notoriety, for now!
