Both concertos display his maturity as an artist, super-fine tonal delicacy and titanic virtuosity coupled with depth of sound. Kondrashin (No.1) and Rhozdestwensky (No.2) give equally outstanding contribution with the orchestras. The stereo sound is vividly alive and warm, with wide dynamic range.
