Met een grote show in Madison Square Garden in New York viert Elton John op 25 Maart 2007 zijn 60ste verjaardag. Het programma wordt geopend door oud-president Bill Clinton. Elton John werd op 25 Maart 2007 niet alleen 60 jaar, maar het is ook de 60ste keer (sinds Oktober 2001) dat de Britse zanger/pianist een concert  in Madison Square Garden gegeven heeft. I knew I had done 59 shows at Madison Square Garden and I said the only place I want to be is New York City on my 60th birthday. This is always the best place to come. I love this city, I love you guys and I love this building. Thank you for making my birthday a special event. aldus Elton John. Hoogtepunten van het jubileumconcert werden op 5 April 2007 in een twee uur durende special op de Amerikaanse televisie uitgezonden door MyNetworkTV. Het complete (drie uur durende) concert verscheen in Oktober 2007 op DVD onder de naam ELTON 60 Live At Madison Square Garden.
