'Opposites' is het zesde album van de Schotse rockers van Biffy Clyro. Het is de opvolger van het album 'Only Revolutions' uit 2009; de van dat album afkomstige single 'Many Of Horror' was ook in Nederland een grote radio hit. De eerste single van 'Opposites' is 'Black Chandelier' welke al regelmatig op 3FM voorbij komt. Voor de opnames van 'Opposites' ging de band naar Los Angeles, waar men de hulp in riep van oude bekende Garth Richardson (wie ook verantwoordelijk was voor de productie op 'Puzzle' en 'Only Revolutions'). Ook vriend van de band Ben Bridwell, de zanger en songwriter bij de Amerikaanse band Band Of Horses, heeft daarnaast een kleine rol als backup zanger op twee songs van 'Opposites'.
