Formed in 1975 in the Handsworth district of Birmingham, Steel Pulse, led by David Hinds published his first album Handsworth Revolution in 1978, and has become a leader of the British scene. The bases are: a serious reggae, almost dark, and highly politicized. Steel Pulse will be found in the ranks of rock bands, punk and reggae engaged in Rock Agains Racism movement in response to the rise of boneheads and the National Front in Britain.
Follow a dozen albums in the same vein, and two live attesting to the incredible energy of the group on stage. Energy which can not fail to benefit outta Garance.
