Lird Van Goles biography
Simon Reichmuth (bass), Björn Magnusson (guitar) and Marc Völkle (drums) are knowing each other since their schooldays. Hailing from Schwyz, a rural area in Switzerland, they started in 2003 and produced a self-released demo CD one year later. The band name is said to be the result of several puns. LIRD VAN GOLE's music is obviously rocking, provided with a modern, partially eclectic approach because working in a bunch of music influences - a range of different prog genres as well as stoner/doom and indie elements.

It took some years to improve this unique style until they finally found their fourth member named Zisch who is responsible for the moog elements and bringing a new facet to the sound. In 2007 a new EP named 'United Kerosin' saw the light of day as the preview for the official debut album 'Who Set That Fire'. It was released by the Little Jig Records Label and is receiving excellent reviews in the meanwhile.

LIRD VAN GOLES delivers an independent sound with distinctive prog ingredients and makes curious about future efforts.

Van deze laatste kom ik geen info over tegen het zou de demo kunnen zijn uit dat jaar.
de tracklist van die demo daar kwam ik ook niet achter had ik dat kunnen vergelijkenen.
heb over het algemeen de twijfel of ik dit wel crossover prog moet noemen ik kan me er niet echt in vinden.
de muziek daarin tegen is mijn daar soms even te wild voor maar dat is mijn mening.
