On Friday 4/13/19 it was the 3rd anniversary of Keith "Guru" Elam's passing. So While DJ Premier was away doing a show I filled in for him on his radio show "Live From Headqcourterz". As much as it is an honor to be regularly asked by Premier to fill in for him, this night was really special because not only would I fill in but I was also allowed to do a tribute set to his late partner in Gang Starr, Guru. As Guru was one of my favorite MC's of all time and Gang Starr is my favorite rap group of all time, this mix was truly from the heart. On top of that to do this mix live in front of Guru's long time engineer Eddie Sancho & his long time friend Panchi of the NYG'z, made it even more special.
