Deze lag van de week op de mat. Het is een dubbel album waarin ze op zoek gaat naar de stemmen uit haar geboorte streek die haar geïnspireerd hebben en dat nog steeds doen. Het is een live-set waarin hier en daar uitgelegd wordt waar het volgende nummer over gaat of vandaan komt. De Northumbian pipes zijn weer goed vertegenwoordigd. Dit schreef ze zelf over dit album op haar site:

Live music, stories and songs… where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
Northumbrian Voices is based on interviews and recordings Kathryn has done over the years with family members and old shepherd musicians from whom she learnt tunes and songs, including mouth organ player Will Atkinson and fiddler Willie Taylor. Three generations of musicians perform in this reflection of immensely strong communities, their music and collective stories.

Many of the people whose words we are using are still alive and very much of the modern age: my neighbour, my cousin – both Northumbrian farmers. I always wish that audiences could meet some of the people I learnt from — they were such characters — and this show feels as if we are letting those people speak.”

Staat er compleet op, 20% pars meegepost.
Omdat het een live-set is, heb ik hem als cue-file erop gezet. In 2 andere mapjes vind je de CD’s met de losse nummers, alles in WAV. Gewoon weggooien wat je niet nodig hebt dus.

Voor de mensen die de nzb file niet gebruiken maar op titel zoeken: ik heb bij de originele map die gepost is een typefout gemaakt. Hij heet daar “Kathryn Tickell - 2011 - Nortrhumbrian Voices - 2 CD's [WAV-CUE]”, met een extra r. Ja, ook ik heb al last van senior moments.
