DELTA MACHINE Het 13e studioalbum van Depeche Mode, ‘Delta Machine’, komt wereld- wijd uit op 25 maart op Columbia Records. Het album, opgenomen in Santa Barbara, Californie en New York, is geproduceerd door Ben Hillier en ge- mixed door Flood. The video voor de eerste single, ‘Heaven’, zal op vrijdag 1 februari in premiere gaan. Naast een standaard 1CD zal Depeche Mode ook een exclusieve Deluxe Edition 2CD uitbrengen met 4 extra nieuwe tracks en een 28-pagina’s hardcover booklet, met foto’s van Anton Corbijn. Daarnaast verschijnt ook een vinyl editie (2LP). Martin Gore over de nieuwe release: “Writing this album was incredibly daun- ting as I wanted the sound of this collection to be very modern. I want people to feel good about listening to this record, to get some kind of peace. It’s just got something magical about it.” Dave Gahan voegt hieraan toe: “With this release we’ve completely shifted our idea of how to create an album. When we hit a wall where we realize the album is beginning to sound too normal, we’ll mess it up and really give it that organic Depeche Mode Sound.
