De serie speelt zich af in een plaatsje aan de Canadese grens in de Amerikaanse staat Washington. Nadat de populaire scholiere Laura Palmer vermoord wordt aangetroffen, wordt FBI-agent Dale Cooper op pad gestuurd om de zaak te onderzoeken.

Hawk finds the One-Armed Man, who reveals himself as the spirit, Mike. Maddy decides to go home. Jonathan says he's taking Josie back to China. Ben calls Leland back into work. The One Armed Man vows to stop BOB, pointing Cooper towards the Great Northern Hotel.
