Post Description
Matt Bianco emerged in the British music scene in the 80s with a fresh pop sound tinged with soul, jazz and latin rhythms, while music at that time was more and more based on machine and synths.
“Hideaway”, their new work, will be released on March 8th, 2013 via earMUSIC.
“Hideaway”: a place to escape the pressures of every-day life. A place of the soul, to step aside, relax and recharge. The album’s title sets the intentions of Matt Bianco’s music in 2013 and the new songs fit perfectly to the theme.
Recorded at the band’s home studios and mixed by Dave Bascome (i.e. Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Tears For Fears, Placebo) it includes twelve fresh and groovy songs: the dynamic flow of ‘Too Late For Love’ goes hand in hand with the rhythmic melody of ‘Falling’.
The band’s notorious love for well crafted songs, rich melodies and exquisite arrangements is all that this new album is made of.
With the top level musicianship of Mark Reilly and Mark Fisher and the feeling for perfect groovy pop tunes, Matt Bianco once again succeed in looking back to their favourite vintage grooves and jazzy sounds without falling into nostalgic revival, always maintaining a fresh and contemporary sound.
