NSeth en Scott Avett. Dat zijn de Brothers in Avett Brothers. De broers uit North Carolina zingen en daarbij speelt Seth gitaar en Scott banjo. De band bestaat verder uit bassist Bob Crawford en cellist Joe Kwon. Alternatieve country, bluegrass, singer songwriter, Americana en close harmony. Het is allemaal van toepassing op Avett Brothers. I and Love and You is een prachtige plaat die nu al gerekend mag worden tot de beteren van 2009. Rick Rubin, die de productie op zich nam, heeft het weer eens goed ingeschat toen hij ze tekende op zijn Def American label.
