Post Description
John Mayall is the godfather of British blues. Mayall (Macclesfield in 1933) was one of the first whites who would focus on the blues, and he kept the genre throughout his life faithfully. Mayall played a key role, for his missionary work came a generation of young British musicians in touch with the blues. This generation poplandschap changed forever. Mayall had a good nose for talent. Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce (Cream), Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie (Fleetwood Mac) and Walter Trout learned the trade in his band The Bluesbrakers. John Mayall still occurs much.
