The summer dredging season begins. The Pomrenkes compete with a new megadredge named AU Grabber owned by Hank Schimschat. The Pomrenkes' gold gain is overshadowed by exhausted equipment. Schimschat labors with assembly. Emily, the dredge owner, purchases a faulty motor. Zeke seems oblivious to returning to production. Steve is the first out, but employee attitude and behavior and underwater visibility hamper his yield. Vernon has no deckhands or divers.
