Israel Nash , full name Israel Nash Gripka (...), is a singer-songwriter US .

Born in a small town of the mountains Ozark in Missouri , the son of a Baptist minister moved to Williamsburg , in Brooklyn . Here public in 2009 a first album New York Town , inspired by Ryan Adams .

Together with drummer Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth and the support band of The Fieros moved in the mountains Catskills in upstate New York in search of inspiration, where he recorded the album Barn Doors & Concrete Floors . Registration takes place in a barn  and the tracks on the album are full of roots-rock [ country rock with references to the Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street [br]
In 2011, part of a European tour during which (in Eindhoven ) has recorded his first live album Live at Mr. Frits published during the year for the Lost Highway / Universal. 

In 2013 he released his third studio album Israel Nash's Rain Plans for the London label Loose Music .
