This is a very different and interesting coupling. First, there is the original version of the Fireworks Music, for tons of winds, brass and percussion. Since this was composed for an occasion of great pomp and magnificence, the coupling of the brassy and exciting Coronation Anthems (which are still performed to this day whenever a new king or queen is crowned) makes perfect sense. King's performances are excitingly larger than life. Really Handel has never been surpassed when in comes to grandeur without pomposity.
