If you like Hanson's music you will want this recording of three of his key works. The performance and sound on "Beowulf's Lament" is extraordinary! The other works offered are played very well although the sound is a bit raw although very clear and impactfull. The interpretation of Sym. 3 is more dramatic than Schwarz's who tends to smooth over the edges (nothing inherently wrong with that approach either).
