Notes from the booklet:

Track 1:
This is the original stereo version with overdubbed maracas. lt was originally released in 1965 on the stereo only pressings of "Elvis For Everyone"' and again an the 1972 vinyl UK re-release of "Elvis For Everyone". It's most likely that the overdub for "Wild In The Country" was done at the same time as the overdub for "Tomorrow Night", on March 18 1965.

Tracks 2, 5, 9, 12, 17 & 18:
All Sun recordings are digital transfers from the original sources (singles and 78rpm's).
The C&W side of Sun 209, "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" is one of the recordings where no master tape was turned over to RCA in the first plane. lt is one of the worst recorded / mastered Sun masters with compression and overdone echo. A further compressed November 1955 RCA tape transfer of a Sun 78 RPM has been used for the RCA single release. RCA added some echo to the Sun master of "That's All Right".

Track 6:
Take 5 of "Old Shep" was used by mistake on some original pressings of Elvis' 2nd album "Elvis".

Tracks 7, 8, 15 & 16:
Some of the original mono masters as frst released in 1962 were shortened for release. On Sony's "Complete Elvis Presley Masters Collection" and the Franklin Mint set they are released in their original edited form but in stereo.

Trank 10:
The master of "A Big Hunk O' Love" is primarily Take 3, but with the first instrumental break spliced in from Take 4. Since the release of "The Complete 50's Masters" box, it seems more common to have Take 3 of "A Big Hunk O' Love" rather than the original spliced master, and it has since appeared on "Elvis 30 Number One Hits" and the CD version of Elvis' Golden Records Volume 2 among others.

Track 11:
This is a remixed version that can be found on the "Return Of The Rocker" album (5600-1-R) released in 1986.

Trank 13:
The original "record version" of "I Want To Be Free" that appeared on the 1957 EP of "Jailhouse Rock" was spliced from 2010 take 11 and 2012 take 5 (bass ending), but since the release of "The Complete 50's Masters" box just the complete take 11 has been used as the master.

Tracks 21 & 22:
These live versions were recorded in Tupelo, Mississippi on September 26, 1956 and released on vinyl single RCA PB-f 3875 in the USA in 1984.

Track 23:
From the original USA "The Truth About Me" promotional cardboard disc (released in November 1956) which had the additional line "I want to thank all of my loyal Fans who have watched my performances, and in that way became friends of mine".This line was omitted on later official releases.

Track 25:
As released on the RCA Victor G8MW-8705 "V Guide Presents Elvis Presley" record (release date: September 1956).
