Even iets heel anders voor de liefhebber. Al ver voor de verfilming van Peter Jackson van zowel het Hobbit verhaal als het Lord of the Rings verhaal maakte de BBC Radio al een gedramatiseerde hoorspel uitvoering van beide Tolkien verhalen. The Hobbit werd in 1968 gemaakt en The Lord of the Rings werd in 1981 gemaakt. Ik heb beide alleen in MP3 vorm, maar aangezien het een engelstalig gesproken hoorspel betreft zal dat niet zo'n bezwaar zijn. Behalve de mp3's heb ik verder geen enkele informatie of hoesjes, dus je zal het hier mee moeten doen (het plaatje bij deze post heb ik ook gegokt).

Let wel, dit is geen ingesproken boek, dit is een complete hoorspel uitvoering inclusief geluidseffecten. De gesproken taal is engels, dus als je de taal niet machtig bent heb je hier niet zoveel aan. Misschien toch wel aardig dit weer eens te posten, zo kun je ook het verhaal uit een andere invalshoek meemaken.

Deze versie van The Hobbit is verdeeld over 4 cd's en duurt iets meer dan 3,5 uur. Op een vijfde cd zijn nog een aantal muziekstukken toegevoegd.
