Four seasoned treasure hunters embark on an antiques adventure in "Market Warriors", a new series from the producers of Antiques Roadshow, the hit PBS series and pioneer in television's antiques and collectibles genre. In Market Warriors, expert shoppers on a strict budget scour flea markets across the country for vintage valuables, then auction their finds with an eye towards maximizing profit. 1. Antiquing in Adamstown, PA
A visit to a flea market in Lancaster County, Pa., kicks off this series about four collectible experts in search of treasures they can resell for tidy sums at auction. Found items include an Eames chair, a Moss floor lamp and a Tiffany jelly jar.
2. Antiquing in Philadelphia, PA
The pickers search for valuable costume jewelry on the cheap at a Philadelphia flea market. Included: a set by French costume-jewelry designer Marcel Boucher; a Playboy ice bucket; a Japanese mixed-metal vase.
3. Antiquing in Cumming, GA
A search for vintage advertisements at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market near Atlanta. Among the finds: a rare Red Rock Cola piece; a Sterling Card case; and an antique hobbyhorse.
