Post Description
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is the world's most respected and famous displays of military bands, music, tradition and ceremony. Each year since its inception in 1950, the Tattoo showcases the incredible discipline, choreography, organisation and talent of military bands and drill corps from around the world.
Staged once again alongside the impressive backcloth of Edinburgh Castle, one thousand musicians and performers took the Esplanade of the Castle by storm for the 2013 Edinburgh Tattoo. This year's show featured performances from the Ceilidh Band and Highland Dancers, Mexico's Monumental Jaguares Marching Band and Mariachi Oro de Mexico, New Zealand Army Band, Central Orchestra of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces and of course, the traditional tattoo performance from the Massed Pipes and Drums and the haunting sound of the Lone Piper.
