Rock & Roll And The 1950's features six programms made in the united states which have been release which are now available for the first time in three volumes. The second volume features the third and the fouth programmes from the series.
Included in these programmes are personal appearances by Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, The Everley Brothers, Bobby Darin and Charlie Gracie together with newsreel coverage of such notable events in Rock 'n' Roll history as the controversy surrounding the ill fated tour by Jerry Lee Lewis and the media coverage of the death of Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens in a plane crash. Of equal interest is the newsreel coavage of both mid 1950's concerts by Elvis Presley and the incredable publicity surrounding his rise to stardom. Linking these items are a number of classic American television commercials from this period.
For those who were teenagers at the time or have become fasinated by the period this second volume is a must.
