Don't let the title fool ya, this album is more than a compilation of songs that didn't get recorded, it's a bonafide release from an up and coming band. All of the songs could have made other albums, the thing is, Blake Christiana and buddies just have too many great songs and can't fit them all on their major relases. The Leftover series is a delight for fans who want to hear songs played earlier in their career and new songs that haven't made it to an album yet, but are played in their live shows. This album, in my opinion is one of their strongest albums yet, along with Empty Pockets and Come On In, this is where I would point a new fan to listen to some studio recording of Yarn. If you haven't seen them live do yourself a favor and catch them on their next visit to your town, you won't be disappointed. Bring your dancing shoes!
