'Belle Reve' is de gevangenis met het hoogste sterftecijfer in de VS waar de allerergste superschurken gevangen zitten. Zij doen er dan ook alles aan om hun vrijheid terug te winnen, zelfs al moeten ze zich daarvoor aansluiten bij de ultrageheime en dubieuze 'Task Force X'. Ook dit keer is het weer alles of niets voor een bonte verzameling slechteriken. Zwaarbewapend worden ze op Corto Maltese gedropt, een afgelegen eiland, waarbij ze door een jungle vol militanten en guerrillatroepen moeten trekken om hun vernietigingsmissie te voltooien.
