Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the R&B greats. Released in 1978 and 1979 these two classic Bar-Kays albums - Light Of Life and Injoy - make their debut on CD for the very first time. Light Of Life contains the singles 'Shine' (Top 20 U.S. R&B) b/w 'Are You Being Real' which was later flipped to the A side and 'I'll Dance' (Top 30 U.S. R&B). Injoy, the band's most successful album, was certified Gold featured the Top 3 R&B single 'Move Your Boogie Body' and the Top 20 R&B single 'Today Is The Day'. Other stand out cuts are 'I Lean On You / You Lean On Me' and 'Running In And Out Of My Life'. The Bar-Kays were formed in 1966 in Memphis Tennessee after meeting as session musicians for Stax Records. Members of the original line up tragically died in the plane crash that killed soul legend Otis Redding, who were employed as his backing band. The remolded group went on to have success on the Mercury label from 1976 through 1987 including the albums Too Hot To Stop and Flying High On Your Love amongst others.
