Review:
Thank you for sending your C.D. This is an absolute cracker(u.k. jargon for outstanding) of a recording , superbly crafted ,produced, arranged and written. The tunes are melodic, full of rhythm,and encapsulate what smooth, eminently listenable Jazz is all about. I was very impressed with the mood and tempo variations which contribute to this well crafted C.D. Gene Burkert leads well but never dominates the tunes,it moves along at a good pace and he is well assisted by Musicians of the highest standard. This is the type of Jazz which goes down well on K.C.R. and will certainly feature on my future Programs. Full marks to all concerned with this recording, excellent work.
