Vera is called in to investigate the murder of 29 year old Niall Coulter. Vera attempts to to peel back the seemingly layers of his life and learns a deeper truth which those closest to him seem unwilling to give up. After the body of a drug dealer is found washed up on a Northumberland beach the truth starts to emerge about the heroin found present in Niall’s body.
