Golden Axe is an old dos game, published in 1990 by Sega. Main genre of this old game is action which was developed by Sega. The game doesn't have a great sound, but it compensates this deficiency with very nice VGA graphics. At the beginning of the game you can choose between three characters: a woman, a man and a dwarf with Axe. These characters differ from each other fairly minimal, as all known martial arts as well as magic, the only difference is in speed of attack and power of magic - that depends on the number of collected mana. It looks like that each character has its own unique special attack, but it's not true - they only have a different animation, but all do the same and that is hurt all enemies that are on the screen. 

Aangezien dit spel onder Dos (voorloper Windows) speelbaar was dien je het programma Dosbox te installeren. Deze is bij de “spot” ondergebracht.  Onderstaand staan de stappen weergegeven om Dosbox te installeren en het spel te laten werken. Met name onder de oude Dos gebruikers onder ons zal de installatie makkelijker verlopen;

• Maak een nieuwe folder aan op je computer, bijvoorbeeld C:\games\dos\hetspel
• Kopieer de inhoud van het gedownloade zip bestand naar die folder
• Start DOSBox vanuit Windows door te dubbelklikken op het bureaublad icoon. Eenmaal in DOSBox:
• Typ mount c c:\games\dos en druk op enter (zo maak je een virtuele disk C: aan in DOSBox, welke verwijst naar de Games\DOS folder op je C: disk)
• Wanneer je spelfolder spaties bevat, omsluit het folderpad dan met aanhalingstekens, bijvoorbeeld: mount c "c:\games\dos games" 
• Typ c: en druk op enter om naar de virtuele C: disk te gaan
• Typ dir en druk op enter om naar de inhoud van de virtuele C: disk te kijken
• Typ cd hetspel en druk op enter om de Prince folder te openen
• Typ hetspel en druk op enter om het spel te starten (in ieder geval het bestandsnaam intikken dat eindigt op .exe of.bat, eveneens kan je DIR intikken voor de inhoud vd map)
