Al sinds 2011 vecht de legendarische singer-songwriter Glen Campbell tegen de ziekte van Alzheimer. 
De 78-jarige man die prachtige ballads als 'Wichita Lineman', 'Rhinestone Cowboy' 
en 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix' maakte,
Hij neemt afscheid van zijn carrière met deze laatste opname. 
De laatste ballad van Campbell heet 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You', dat hij in januari vorig  jaar opnam
voor de soundtrack van de documentaire 'Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me', die later deze maand uitkomt
en waarin onder meer Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift en Paul McCartney hulde brengen aan Campbell.
In 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' legt hij op magistrale wijze de ironie van zijn ziekte bloot. 
'You're the last person I will love. You're the last place I will recall. But best of all. I'm not gonna miss you',
zingt hij in het refrein. We zullen dus binnenkort weer een legende moeten missen.
Hij komt binnen op nummer 21 in de lijst.
