The first single Rhino ever released was Wild Man Fischer's "Go To Rhino Records." The first album Rhino ever released was his Wildmania. So it’s only fitting and proper that our internet-only Rhino Handmade label blast off properly christened by the release of this definitive collection of Larry's complete Rhino recordings. 

Fischer’s first LP, An Evening With Wild Man Fischer, was issued in 1968 for Frank Zappa’s Bizarre/Straight imprint. He left the Mother’s label for the Rhino Brothers’ label in the 1970s, releasing a trio of memorably eccentric albums for the fledgling record company: Wildmania (1977), Pronounced Normal (1981), and Nothing Scary (1984). The Fischer King collects the masters from all three long-out-of-print Rhino albums and both long-out-of-print Rhino singles along with about 40-minutes of previously unreleased Rhino-era material and rarities. 

Compiled with Larry's assistance (and including his disc intros and outros recorded especially for this collection), The Fischer King finally preserves the Wild Man’s musical legacy with pristine audio transfers and with a booklet filled with Fischer's own recollections of his recorded works. 

Three complete albums (never before on compact disc anywhere), plus about an album's worth of previously unissued tracks and rarities (most never before on any CD), from Larry's first Rhino single in 1975 to his final recording sessions with Barnes & Barnes in 1989, in a spiffily-packaged 2-CD set. 

The Fischer King is available as an individually numbered limited edition of 1,000 copies.
