Synopsis:
 Murderer director Roy Chow and screenwriter Christine To team up once more for the intense, 
uncompromising crime thriller Nightfall. Audiences have come to expect shocking plot twists 
and violent action from the duo, and their latest detective mystery impresses with its suspenseful 
storytelling, stylish cinematography, and haunting performances from the lead stars. Nick Cheung 
(The Beast Stalker) followed a strict regime to be physically and mentally in shape for his role 
of a mute ex-convict out for revenge, who must outwit the veteran cop pursuing him played by charismatic actor Simon Yam (PTU, SPL). Janice Man, Kay Tse, Michael Wong, Candice Yu, and Shawn Dou round out the exceptional supporting cast.

Twenty years ago, Wong Yuen Yeung (Nick Cheung) was sentenced to jail for the murder of teenage 
girl Yi Wan. Soon after he is discharged on parole, he meets Tsui Suet (Janice Man), a girl who 
resembles Yi Wan, so much so that he can't help but begin stalking and spying on her. Meanwhile, 
a mutilated body is found on the seaside, and the victim is none other than Tsui Suet's father 
Tsui Hon Lam (Michael Wong), a renowned classical music conductor. All clues point to Wong Yuen Yeung as the prime suspect, and police inspector Lam Ching Chung (Simon Yam), adamant to uncover the truth behind the two murders separated by two decades, struggles to close the net on the dangerous killer...
