Post Description

Each episode of "Shipping Wars" dives into the cutthroat world of these heavy-duty movers as they battle for the chance to transport the unshippable. The competition begins with uShip, the world's largest online auction house for independent truckers. Every day, thousands of shipments are put up for auction. The battle is fierce as the movers have only minutes to bid, and the lowest bidder gets the load.
From oversized loads and bulky packages to the truly bizarre, these shippers will haul anything if the price is right. The high-stakes race is on as they set out to deliver the loads in time, and any setback can cost big bucks.
From rookie haulers to seasoned veterans, no shipment is too big for these professionals to handle. Marc Springer has been shipping less than a year but he clearly has a knack for the business. He always manages to keep his 18-wheel tractor trailer full, and looks for nothing but the biggest, "baddest" loads he can find. Rookie Jennifer Brennan may be new to the shipping world, but she's about as tough and competitive as they come. She began her career transporting farm animals across the country, but her typical shipments have expanded to be just about anything from a water buffalo to a million-dollar Ferrari. Jarrett Joyce has only been in the business for a few months, but he's never one to shy away from a unique load. He's shipped everything from kittens to a hot dog stand to a Civil War cannon. Know-it-all Roy Garber has two years of experience under his belt. A serious handyman, he's never found a load he couldn't tackle, and this determination has made him one of the top earners in the country. Veteran shippers Scott and Suzanne Bawcom may seem like your typical suburban couple, but they are anything but ordinary. A former bomb squad specialist, Scott spent his pre-shipping days defusing bombs in Iraq for the Marines, and he's not the kind of guy to run away from a challenge. For the Bawcoms, shipping is a family business. While Scott hauls shipments across the country, Suzanne bids and books loads constantly.

1. Shipping Wars

The transporters compete for some unique shipments going cross-country as a 4,000 lbs., 22-foot steel horse and an oversized 7-foot-long Venus Flytrap come up for bid. Roy Garber and Jarrett Joyce are the big winners of the transports, respectively, but there's no time to celebrate when they both realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew. If the steel horse doesn't arrive on time, Roy will lose half his pay. Meanwhile, the Venus Flytrap is on a deadline for the opening night of the "Little Shop of Horrors" premiere. If Jarrett doesn't deliver the oversized prop on time, then the show doesn't happen. The stakes are high as they race to make sure their loads arrive intact and on time. One mistake and these loads could be their last.

2. Double Down and Bean Town

When shipments hit the auction block, the Bawcoms score a shipment for a 35 foot freshwater boat while Roy gets stuck transporting an old English phone booth after he tries to teach Jarrett a lesson. But when the Bawcoms try to double their earnings by taking on a second large boat, they may sink the entire shipment. Roy finds his load is twice as heavy as listed, but when he's shut down by mall security, will he even get the chance to load it up on his trailer?

3. Bullship

Jennifer encounters unforeseen difficulties while hauling two bulls; Marc transports a delicate test aircraft and accidentally leaves some parts behind when he switches trailers.

4. Cash for Tanks

Marc hauls two military tanks, but he has trouble navigating some winding Pennsylvania roads; Roy runs into a storm while transporting a mint-condition collector's item.

5. Pain in the Caboose

Marc hauls a 1928 train caboose; Roy ships a 1955 Ford Thunderbird.

6. Camel in Tow

Jennifer hauls camels across the country, and her truck breaks down midway; Marc runs into trouble when he takes on a side load while transporting a landing craft.

7. Tavern on the Greenbacks

Roy must fix a catering truck before transporting it; Jarrett hauls a heavy African sculpture and incurs unexpected costs when his van needs repairs.

8. Jennifer's Arch

Jennifer hauls a large number of small animals; Jarrett transports a go-kart, and his unreliable van breaks down again.

9. Baja or Bust

Marc is headed to Mexico when he wins an auction to ship a $100,000 Baja 1000 Trophy Truck. Leaving from Colorado, Marc must protect his precious cargo, and make sure it arrives without delay in time for the start of the famous race. But when he gets lost on the small back roads in Tijuana, Marc must get resourceful or risk putting the race team, and his carerr, in last place. Scott and Susie take their boat hauling knowledge to a whole new level when they transport a wooden pirate ship across the southwest. But as they put the miles behind them, the fragile pirate ship gets more and more difficult to keep tied down.

10. May the Ship Be With You

Roy lands the shipment of his dreams when he gets to haul some large one-of-a-kind props from his favorite sci-fi movie. But when he is cut-off by another trucker on the highway, he's afraid it may have damaged these priceless movie artifacts. Jennifer outbids fellow rookie, Jarrett, for a shipment of 20 peacocks headed to Arizona. With the exotic birds confined to small boxes for transport, she must cover nearly two thousand miles in three days, otherwise Jennifer risks killing the fowl from the stress of traveling.
