Edwards has a great rasp, a solid wail, enough twang and drawl to straddle the line between country and rock (and it is most definitely both), one that is to his credit and will appeal to a wider audience of southern true believers and Austin and NW alt-country lovers.

The music is fun but mature. The lyrics are at times self-deprecating & introspective. It rocks, it rides, it has Southern pride alongside an exploratory spirit. And it has a wit that avoids cheap snickers and easy cliche. Most important, it's fun.
