Post Description

In Right Track 8 – An Introduction to DCC, Tony Wright and DCC specialist Nigel Burkin explained the intricacies of starting out with DCC.
In Right Track 9 – Practical Aspects of DCC, Nigel takes the subject several steps further.
He explains how to wire a layout using the control bus, power bus and power districts to best advantage.
Lighting adds great realism to locomotives and coaches and Nigel explains how to install and operate lights using decoders and LEDs. Sound too can add life to your layout and we discuss fitting sound to locomotives.
N-Gauge – both British and American outline have decoders installed in Right Track 9 and Nigel demonstrates the new developments in American N-Scale decoder design.
The Operation section applies to all gauges and scales and such items as aids to slow running, remote operation, programming on the main and double heading are covered in great detail.
Together with Right Track 8, this programme provides a complete guide to DCC systems and applications – whatever scale, gauge or era you model.
In this 3hr programme we look in detail at layout wiring (power bus and control bus), locomotive sound, lighting, smoke and operational considerations.
