About:

Prince is famous for his late night after-shows performed well into the
morning in front of a small group of adoring fans. This release is typical
of them in that it features extended funk jams that can seem repetitive if
you are not there or dancing to it. Don't expect the song titles that you
recognize to be anything like the originals. There is very little singing
and a certain funky element of the song is repeated to create the ground
of the jam (I'm sure there are more musical terms for this). This set is
not as good as many of the after-show performances, but the audio is much
better given that it is not a fan made bootleg like most of them. The music
is tight and very funky indeed. The absolute highlight is a great version
of one of his best songs, Joy in Repetition. If you are not interested in
the after-show type of release, seriously consider downloading this song.
It is Prince captured in all of his brilliance,.
