Avid is officially releasing Media Composer v8.4.5 (Mac and PC) installer and patch as well as Avid Artist | DNxIO v10.5.4 today, January 5, 2016 at approx. 12:00 noon EST.
Changed in v8.4.5:  The following are now supported with Media Composer v8.4.5. You must have Desktop Video software v10.5.4 and Media Composer v8.4.5 to see these changes.
-  Avid Artist DNxIO Ancillary Data Support - Avid Artist DNxIO now passes Ancillary Data including Closed Captioning and Ancillary Time Code on output.
-  Avid Artist DNxIO LTC Support - Avid Artist DNxIO now supports LTC (input and output)
-  Avid Artist DNxIO Hardware Capture of DNxHR LB - Avid Artist DNxIO supports DNxHR LB hardware encode during capture for the following:
UHD: 23.98p, 24p, 25p, 29.97p, 30p, 50p, 59.94p, 60p 
4K DCI: 23.98p, 24p, 25p (SDI only) 
Fixed in v8.4.5:   The following 3 items were fixed in this release.
-  Tri-level sync was not locking for 2k or 4k formats.
-  Occasionally, Media Composer would hang when performing an audio scrub.
-  In some instances, you would see corrupted media when playing back UHD 4k in Draft  
   mode, Yellow/Yellow mode and RGB 12bit modes.
Note: Customers need to have Artist | DNxIO Desktop Video software v10.5.4 or greater to see these fixes.
