Post Description

Award winning band with a diverse musical palette drawing on influences from 70’s / 80’s PINK FLOYD but now they have developed their own unique sound!

‘Sight Of Day’ is an album celebrating life and the album abounds with huge tracks that lead the listener into territory never explored by the band before. Some have already said that this album is bound to be a classic amongst anybody’s work. The slow burning power reaches climaxes that could well bring the listener to tears!

MOSTLY AUTUMN captures the essence the golden era of rock era and yet looks forward into the future.

Since forming back in 1996, MOSTLY AUTUMN have built a solid reputation from their relentless touring schedule and outstanding ‘live’ shows, and were once described as: “the best band you have never heard”. They have built a loyal and cult following since their first album sixteen years ago and in that time such luminaries as Steve Hackett, he late Richard Wright and Jon Lord and the BBC's own Bob Harris are amongst their many fans. They have been personally invited by Ritchie Blackmore to support on his RAINBOW show at the Genting Arena and also as an acoustic duo to support Steve Hackett’s GENESIS Revisited tour.

Bryan Josh is that rare beast – a hugely talented guitarist who knows how to play with feeling and for the song. His soaring guitar, always drenched in pure emotion, at times recall the golden era of guitar heroes such as David Gilmour, but never outstays its welcome, always leaving the listener wanting a little more. Lead vocalist Olivia Sparnenn is a true talent, the range and beauty of her voice is world class.
The magnificence of Iain Jennings (keyboards), Chris Johnson (guitar), Angela Gordon (flute / keyboards), complimented by a rock solid yet fluid rhythm section comprising Andy Smith (bass) and Alex Cromarty (drums), make MOSTLY AUTUMN a band that will enthral you and awaken memories of what real music is really about.
Guest musicians on this album are: Troy Donockley (IONA / NIGHTWISH) and Anna Phoebe (PAPILLON).

‘Sight Of Day’ was recorded, engineered and mastered by John Spence at Fairview Studios, Hull and mixed by John Spence and Bryan Josh at Fairview Studios, Hull. The producer / executive producer is: Bryan Josh.
