Yours Truly, Rick Braun's debut on ARTizen Music Group has been an unqualified success for the artist/owner's music venture (along with label mat Richard Elliot). The first single rang up five weeks at #1 on Billboard's Jazz Radio Chart and the album has taken residence in the upper echelons of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart since its release. Sessions Volume 1 is as the title implies, the first of a series of intended releases where the emphasis is on fun and spontaneity, elements sometimes missing in the studio culture in no short supply on the performing stage. This is recorded in mostly one take with little or no editing or overdubs as evidenced by the 'notes of character' here and there. The repertoire is drawn from Rick's greatest hits including 'Grazing In The Grass', from the hit CD Shake It Up, and fan favorites 'Notorious, 'Nightwalk', and Coolsville'. Certainly an unexpected highlight in Rick's emotional vocal on 'Love Will Find A Way'. Previously Sessions Volume 1 was only available to fans attending Rick's concerts. We now proudly offer it to all. 

Sessions volume 1 is in Rick’s own words: "Music recorded live-in-studio presented in its original form without excessive editing, intended to capture the energy, integrity and honesty of my live show. It’s about the fun and utter joy of playing."
