This is  a soundboard recording of a solo show by Crosby from March 17, 1984, 3 decades ago this very day. The show takes place during a very turbulent time in Crosby’s life. A few years in earlier, in 1982, after Crosby spent nine months in prison in Texas on a variety of drug and weapons charges. Then about a year after this concert, in 1985, he was arrested for a hit-and-run incident, as well as possession of a concealed pistol and drug paraphernalia. Crosby had driven into a fence in a Marin County suburb and responding officers found a .45-caliber pistol and cocaine in his car. Seemingly the only place Crosby could function was on stage, as his performance does not seem impacted in any way by his troubled personal life.
