Description
Bonanza speelt zich af in het Amerika van rond 1860 en draait om de familie Cartwright. De familie bestaat uit een vader, Ben, en zijn drie zoons, Adam, Hoss en Little Joe. Iedere zoon is van een andere moeder want Ben Cartwright heeft namelijk de gewoonte zijn vrouwen snel te verliezen. Gezamenlijk runnen de mannen de Ponderosa ranch in Nevada, nabij Virginia City.
